Must be a CCC-SLP with at least 1 year of pediatric feeding experience in treating complex medical conditions including patients with gastronomy tubes.

Pay rate:  Could be Pay Per Visit (PPV) or a Guaranteed Hourly Rate.  Both rates are negotiable based on experience but for PPV would be approximately $35/30-minute treatment and $70/Evaluation.

Position could start Part-time with full-time potential.

Position would be split between Lumberton and Fayetteville with the option for remote workdays.  On-site feeding supervision and access to Cole’s Feeding Program will be available.  Caseload will be primarily feeding patients but must be willing to also evaluate and treat other speech/language disorders as needed.

  Pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist
  The Family, Infant and Preschool Program-Morganton, NC
The Family, Infant and Preschool Program (FIPP) located in Morganton, NC is currently seeking two pediatric speech-language pathologists to serve on our team. SLPs at FIPP participate as members of our primary service provider team and provide early childhood intervention support to families of children birth through five years who have or are at risk for disabilities. Additionally, SLPs at our agency provide ongoing consultation and technical assistance to other team members, community members, and outside agencies. SLPs working at the Family Infant and Preschool Program have ample opportunity to participate in developing a wide range of family-centered products, engaging in research studies, and providing professional development and resources to the early intervention community at large. ○ Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication skills. 

○ Use standardized tests, observational methods, and interviews to assess speech and language disorders. 

Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) 

○ Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments. 

○ Set specific, measurable goals and objectives for therapy. 

Therapy and Intervention 

○ Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address speech, language, and communication disorders. 

○ Utilize evidence-based practices and techniques tailored to each student’s needs. 

Collaboration

○ Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ speech and language development. 

○ Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and plan interventions. 

Documentation and Reporting 

○ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress. 

○ Prepare and submit reports on student performance and therapy outcomes. ● Training and Support 

○ Provide training and resources to teachers and parents on strategies to support speech and language development. 

○ Offer guidance on classroom modifications and accommodations to facilitate communication.

Qualifications 

● Master's degree or beyond in Speech Language with or eligible to receive an NC DPI School Speech-Language Pathologist license level of one of the following: M, S, AS, D, DS 

General Roles and Responsibilities: 

Assessment and Diagnosis 

○ Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication skills. 

○ Use standardized tests, observational methods, and interviews to assess speech and language disorders. 

Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) 

○ Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments. 

○ Set specific, measurable goals and objectives for therapy. 

Therapy and Intervention 

○ Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address speech, language, and communication disorders.

○ Utilize evidence-based practices and techniques tailored to each student’s needs. 

Collaboration 

○ Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students’ speech and language development. 

○ Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and plan interventions. 

Documentation and Reporting 

○ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress. 

○ Prepare and submit reports on student performance and therapy outcomes. ● Training and Support 

○ Provide training and resources to teachers and parents on strategies to support speech and language development. 

○ Offer guidance on classroom modifications and accommodations to facilitate communication. 

Compliance and Ethics 

○ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to special education and speech therapy services. 

○ Adhere to ethical standards and professional guidelines established by relevant professional organizations. 

Professional Development 

○ Stay updated with the latest research, methodologies, and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology. 

○ Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and conferences.
